This unit offers a foundation in local and international design history and theory to contextualise development in creative thinking and practice. It also identifies ergonomic and anthropometric design constraints. Associated professional standards which apply to the design of interior spaces. The human mind and body is examined in relation to the perception of interaction with interior space and the functional objects contained within.
